"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Florida

Scott and I recently just got back from Florida. We got to go because he won an award at work and was chosen to go on the yearly trip Wells Fargo sends their top performers on each year. The food was great and so was the entertainment. Each night they did something different. They had everything from a casino night, a room full of champagne, chocolates, and violins to a room with pop music and another room called Soul Train. On the last night we had a really nice sit down dinner. When we weren't attending the WF events we could just enjoy the sun and the beach! The weather was great and it was nice to relax. Nothing is more relaxing the listening to the ocean and enjoying the view.

The kids stayed with grandpa and grandma. They both did really good. Rylan was a good boy and Kayla had fun building a birdhouse with grandpa, going to the library and playing all day long. I was really sad to leave them, especially Rylan. I don't think we left Kayla overnight until she was about 17 months old, so it was hard to leave Rylan when he was still so little. I know he was in good hands though and G&G sure enjoyed it :-) Luckily we stayed really busy while in Florida so it went by fast. We both had a lot of much needed fun and relaxation but I was sure glad to get home to my babies!!!

A piece of heaven...a chocolate bar!!

We got to listen to Captain Sully Sullenberger talk about when he landed his plane in the Hudson river.

Country singer Mark Wills played for us at our farewell dinner on the last night in Florida.

Ear Piercing!

Last night we let Kayla get her ears pierced! We went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny and got side tracked and let her get her ears pierced too. We have been talking about getting her ears pierced since her 3rd birthday and just now finally did it. She wanted to get them done but I don't think she realized it was going to hurt a little. She did really good. She sat really still and then after they pierced them Kayla got teary eyed and wanted Mommy. She held strong though and never all out cried. She just said they hurt but she did so good! It wasn't long before she was just fine and she can't wait to show her friends at daycare. She loves her earing and shows us how they sparkle.

Almost ready.............

They are in!!!!!!!!!!!! That hurt!!!!!!! :-(

All better! What a big girl!!!!!!!!!!

Little Leapling

Since Rylan was born on Leap Day I couldn't help but have a onesie made for him. People born on Leap Day are called Leaplings and now I have my own little leapling! (Leave it to me to have a leap day baby!)... So I had to make something for him for his special one of a kind birthday.

Cutest Leapling ever if I do say so myself :-)

Sweet and Sour

That is how I would describe my life right now. One minute I am looking at my kids and thinking about how much I love them and how sweet these little lovies are...and all in an instant things can go sour. The baby is crying and you don't know why. Kayla acts naughty because she is not the center of attention, or simply just because she is 3... or maybe a little of both. It's hard to not always know what to do and even harder when you don't have the option of just getting away for awhile. Those are the times I wish we lived closer to our family! My friend Emily came over last week with her little boys. We spent most of our time tending to the kiddos, I don't know if we even finished our lunch?!? lol It's good to hang out with other moms and see that other kids are a handful too. Thanks for coming over Em! And thank you most of all for your honesty. I always feel better after talking to you! I'm reminded that no ones life is perfect no matter how they come across. It makes me feel better knowing other people get stressed and don't have perfect kids either. Being a mom is definitely hard work but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love them so much and the moments when they are sweet just melts your heart. And that is the best feeling in the whole world.

When Kayla is naughty she is either having a meltdown and being really sassy OR she disappears and is up to no good. Here is a pic of her after she got into mommy's makeup.

She even got makeup on her baby brother.
