I'm ready...ready for so many different things right now.
Ready to be done being pregnant.
Ready to stop seeing just how much bigger my stomach can possibly get.
Ready to not have to try on 5 outfits just to find one that fits.
Ready to not have my body hurt every second of the day and night.
Ready to be able to chase Kayla around the house again.
Ready to have energy and feel like myself again.
Ready to get through this last month.
Ready to see Kayla's face when she meets her brother for the first time.
Ready to see the bond they have together.
Ready to add another member to our family.
Ready to hold this tiny little thing that has been growing inside of me.
Ready to see his sweet little face.
Ready to touch his tiny feet and hold his little hands.
Ready to kiss his soft lips.
Ready for the world to seem to stop and nothing matters but the overwhelming love and happiness you experience when you see your child for the first time.
I'll be the first to admit, I don't exactly enjoy being pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I think the whole process is completely amazing. Nine months seems like such a long time but to read each week what your baby is doing, is so incredible how fast they develop. At the end of the day, I would do it all over again. I have never felt such as accomplishment and so proud after having Kayla and I know I will feel the same with this baby. When you see your baby for the first time you forget about all those hard days. All of the days when you didn't think you could possibly go on for another minute. All of those days when you just don't feel like dealing with the world and cry, sometimes for no reason at all. No one can prepare you for just how much you will LOVE this tiny little thing that you just made. The instant love you have is indescribable and so overwhelming. Having a child gives the word "love" a whole new meaning. I'm so ready to hold my little boy for the first time and look into his sweet little eyes and tell him just how much I love him.
I'm ready....ready for that moment.
Jenna. As a father, watching you grow up and turn into the beautiful woman & mother that you are. I just want you to know how very proud I am of you everyday. You are the apple of my eye. Love Dad.
