"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

2 Year Check-up

Kayla had her check-up yesterday and she is now 34 1/2" tall (60%) and 26 lbs (40%).

She likes to play "Doctor" at home so when we got there I told her we were going to play doctor. As soon as she realized where she was she said, "I don't wanna play doctor." She actually did really well and was such a big girl. She let the Dr. poke around and do what he needed to do. She does have a slight ear infection. She had to get one shot and that was the only time she cried. I picked her up right after she got it and she was crying. I asked her if she was ready to go home and she replied YES without hesitation! The nurse promised her a Dora and Thomas sticker and when she gave it to Kayla, she looked at Daddy and said that's not Thomas! (It was another train).

She is getting so big and it amazes us how smart she is. It's probably hard for some to beleive because she is shy around other people, but she talks a lot! She honest to God sang her whole ABC's all by herself, can count to 10, knows almost all of the primary colors and knows the words to songs I don't even know. I have to credit some of this to her babysitter. She has the best babysitter ever. She works with the kids everyday teaching them things, reading, and singing songs. She can name all the kids at daycare (including the dog) and when she sees pictures of her friends Ellie, Jase, Owen, Eli, Hannah, Marcus, and Ally she tells me all of their names. She's even starting to learn comparison. Last night she said Mommy you got a big glass and I got a little one! She also is become quite the fashion DIVA. I was getting her dressed this morning and I went to put a pair of shoes on her. She got mad and said, No mommy those's ones dont match! (They really did though, like I would have her not match.hehe)

One last thing...Kayla made me the happiest mommy in the world this weekend. She was sitting on Daddy's lap and said "I wanna sit with Mommy", and he goes "why?" and kayla says... "because i love her"

Doesn't get any better than that folks ;-)
