A Fishy for Sissy

Daddy and Kayla went to run some errands and came home with this fish. Not sure how that happened??? Kayla was excited though to have her own fish. She named her Rainbow Brite. She goes and "checks" on her through the day. She asked me if her fish would get bigger and I said no. She then replied, "I'm lucky because I have a baby fish that stays little and you aren't lucky because your baby grows and gets bigger." Gotta love her:-)

Kayla's 4th Birthday!

This year for Kayla's birthday she chose to have a Barbie party. Everything was pink, pink, pink! I spent all day baking with the help of Scott, my mom, and Brandi. We made cupcakes, cookies, and the Barbie cake.

My first attempt at the cake didn't turn out too well. It looked more like a Barbie gone wild party. I ended up having to use two cake mixes to make her skirt bigger.

Here's my final job. I didn't go into a lot of detail because I was running out of time, but Kayla liked her and that's all that matters ;-)

Buccaneer Bay

We took Kayla to Buccaneer Bay for her birthday. We stayed there Sunday night since her actual birthday was on Monday. Our friends Jerad, Jacque, Ellie, and Elin came out to swim with us and have pizza and cupcakes. We are so glad they could make it because the kids had sooo much fun swimming and we enjoyed some adult beverages and some much needed relaxation! Kayla was such a good girl even though she was so tired from her bday party the day before. We all had a great time!
