"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Kansas City

Last weekend Scott and I went to Kansas City with our friends Jerad and Jacque to celebrate my birthday. We went to the Plaza on Saturday and then to Power and Lights that night. On Sunday we stopped by the Union Station before coming home. It was really neat inside. They even had Princess Diana's wedding dress on display but you had to pay to go see it. It was pretty expensive so we didn't get to see it. It was nice to get away with some friends, and forget about how old I am now! (sigh)

Pool Time

Scott and I had Monday off from our weekend in KC, so we decided to take Kayla to the pool since it was so hot that day. We went to the aquatic center in WDM. They had everything from waterslides, lazy river, to playgrounds in the middle of the pool. The kid pools and adult pools were separate so that was nice too. Kayla loved it and feel asleep right after we left.

Washington, D.C.

A couple of weeks ago, Scott traveled to DC/Maryland for work. While he was out there he was able to do some sightseeing and got some really neat pics. With it being Memorial Day Weekend, I thought it would be a fitting time to share them.

World War II Memorial

Jefferson Memorial

Washington Monument

Lincoln Memorial

United States Capitol

White House Garden

First Division Monument

Treasury Department

Pennsylvania/New York Avenue

Old Ebbitt Grill (Washington's Oldest Saloon)
Scott ate here that night, he highly recommends! :-)

Here are a couple night pics that turned out really neat, just had to share these as well.

Zoo Time With Friends

Kayla went to the zoo with her friends Zach and Shae. They had lots of fun looking at all of the animals. They have a new dinosaurs exibit at the zoo for the summer. We thought kayla would like it because she talks about dinosaurs a lot from a cartoon that she watches. Well she didn't like them. She would not get any where close to them without freaking out. And they made noise too so she kept covering her ears because they were scaring her.

The last time we fed the birds at the zoo one of them landed on her head. So this time she kept her hand over her head so that didn't happen again, lol.
