We haven't been able to get pics off our camera so here are some random ones from our phones...





Kayla got a bike helmet and she was so excited she wanted to wear it on the way home. Even after she fell asleep I tried taking it off and she woke up and said, "where did my helmet go?!" She even insisted on eating super with it on. (Check out Nelly in the background, every night we eat super Nelly goes and eats her cat food like she is eating with us. I think it's funny.)

I took some pics of Kayla a few weeks ago. It was really hot and windy and we just kinda snapped some quick photos. They weren't really what I had in mind but she is still cute so it makes up for it. Tyson

Meet Kayla's new puppy...Tyson We went to Hy-Vee last week to get a few things and they had these balloons. They have a string on them and you pull it and it looks like they are walking. It's so funny. So me being the sucker that I am...I bought her one. She picked out this puppy and was walking him all through the store. People were stopping and staring at her and laughing. On the way home I asked her what his name was. She said "nothing". I told her she had to giver her new puppy a name. So she then said, Tyson (after Uncle Nathan and Aunt Mandy's dog). I guess they do really look alike :-)

Daddy Blog Update

Normally Jenna updates the blog so this is new for me to post something, but I figured I would give it a shot. I am at home with Kayla today and tomorrow and with it being nice out, I am trying to think of things we can do outside. Today we made a quick trip to the Zoo. We ended up getting a season pass since we only live a few blocks away and we will likely go often this year. It's a pretty small Zoo but that is actually good because you can easily make it a 2 hour visit for something to do, rather than plan a whole day around it. With that said, we stopped for a couple hours today while Mommy is at work ( sorry Mommy :-P ) Here are a few pics.

I had a Dad moment today and wasn't entirely prepared for the Zoo. Kayla loves to feed the goats and as soon as she saw them she immediately started saying how she wanted to feed them. Right away I knew I was in trouble because I forgot to bring cash, so I wasn't able to buy her any food. Since she didn't have any food to feed them, she proceeded to try and feed them rocks. They didn't exactly eat them but it at least somewhat satisfied her want to feed them.

Happy Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day today. But any day is great when I get to spend time with my sweet little girl. We played outside, did a little shopping, flew a kite, and went to the a park. Sorry for the lack of pictures but I didn't have the camera with me so Scott just took a few with his phone.









Somebody fell asleep on the way to dinner at Spaghetti Works, so we got her some McDonalds and ice cream on the way home :-)



It was nice to not really have any plans and just spend the day with Kayla. I have the best daughter ever and am the luckiest mommy in the whole world! I love you Kayla Jade!

Happy Mother's Day to our moms too! We love and miss you!

Weekend Fun

This week is going by just as fast as last weekend did! Kayla had all kinds of company last weekend. Uncle Nathan and Aunt Mandy stopped by for few hours on their way back home. She just woke up from a nap so she was being shy. But she warmed up before they left and was teasing Aunt Mandy and hidding from her. We also went to dinner with our friends Jeff and Emily. Kayla got to see Jase and Tyce too. Jase was showing her how boys get down and dirty but she wasn't quit sure about that. She likes to be very neat and clean. lol Her friends Shae and Zach came over to play too. Scott took them all for a ride up the street in the bike trailer. They thought that was pretty fun and we could hear them laughing everytime they rode by the house. It was pretty funny because you could only see these little heads crammed in this trailer.
