"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Hello Spring!

Today we went down to Villisca to Great Grandma and Grandpa Smith's House for Grandpa's birthday dinner. It was really windy out but we did an Easter Hunt for the little kids anyways. The kids had fun and of course liked all the candy. Kayla tried to cheat and put an egg in her bucket before all the kids got out there.

All the little cousins.

Kayla's "new" Little Tikes Climber.

Scott brought this cupcake home for Kayla on friday. Someone he works with made hamburger cupcakes. The hamburger is a chocolate cupcake and the rest is frosting. Almost too cute to eat....almost ;-)

Zoo

It was so nice out today you couldn't help but want to spend some time outside. We decided to go to the Zoo since we live right by it. Admission is still at the winter rate because not all of the exibits are open yet. It was soooo nice because there weren't very many people there. Kayla had fun feeding the goats and fish. She would get so into looking at one animal that I would have to pull her away kicking and screaming (no joke) so that we could go see another animal. She was fine once we got somewhere else. But wasn't happy when I said the fish were full and that we couldn't play at the playland anymore. Aside from that, she had a great time. She's an animal lover.

Princesses!

Last night they had Family Night at one of the malls. You could go and meet the Princesses and do other activities for free. Kayla loves Snow White and Cinderella so she was super excited to go see them. She told her babysitter all day yesterday how she was going to go see Snow "Wipe" and Cinderella. When she saw them she was of course shy but it didn't take much to get her to stand by them. She was pretty excited. They would ask her her name and how old she was and she would tell them. (Quietly, but she did it.) I think she was in awe. She even gave two of them a hug.

Girls Night Out

This weekend I had a much needed girls night out with my friends Emily, Kara, Robin, and two of Emily's friends too. I feel like the only places I've been lately is work, home, and the grocery store! So it was nice to have a night out with the girls. We got a hotel room and left the kids with their dads and said see you in the morning. haha We had a good time despite the fact that it was freezing outside at the end of March!

TGIF...........for real!

Finally, it's Friday...and I don't have to work this weekend! I am finishing up my last 2 hours of overtime tonight at work. (I'm taking a break to blog...hehe) The good news is we should be done with OT for awhile. Woo Hoo! Keep your fingers crossed for me. I am almost done for the night...getting ready to head home. Scott picked up Kayla from daycare and brought home her friends Zach and Shae too. We are going to cook some pizza's and let them play for awhile. Never anytime to relax, but that's okay:-) She always asks when her friends can come play again. It's so cute. I love watching her play with her friends. Such the social butterfly.

Snack Time

Kayla is having an ice cream cone. Or as she calls it " ah crem". She sounds like she has an accent when she says it. :-)

I love how she is crossing her feet in this pic...so cute.

Kitchen Makeover

This past weekend Scott and I were busy working on our kitchen. We shipped Kayla off to Grandpa and Grandma's house so we could do some serious painting. The first picture is what our kitchen looked like when we first moved in. The only thing different was it was bright yellow and we painted it red. A few years ago we put in a new floor. A couple weekends ago my Dad came up and helped put in a new countertop which I love! It looked great but didn't really go well with our dark 70's style cupboards. So, instead of spending a ton of money on new cupboards we decided to paint them instead along with the walls, and also put new hardware up. Here is the final product. We still a few few details to finish up, but you get the idea.
