"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Party Time ~ Sesame Street Style!

For Kayla's birthday my mom helped me make Sesame Street cupcakes. It's a good thing her party was in the afternoon because it literally took me all day. I started out making the eyes with candy wafers. We even made the batter different colors too by separating it out and adding food coloring to each bowl. I used lots of different candy's and coconut to make them look furry. I thought they turned out pretty cute:-)

Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating Kayla's second birthday with her! She got really wound up later and I know she had a great time. Thank you to those who sent gifts and birthday cards too! She loves getting mail!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kayla!
SESAME STREET LIVE!!!
Kayla turned two today and she got to spend her birthday at Sesame Street Live in Omaha. Grandma Smith and Grandma Connie went with us to see Elmo and the Gang. Kayla loved it! She sat on Daddy's lap almost the whole time and just stared at them in awe, it was so cute. She couldn't take her eyes off of them. We had really good seats and a lot of the monsters came by during the show and she got to see them up close. I think it's safe to say she had a great time.
It's hard to believe it's already been 2 years, hope you had a wonderful birthday. We love you so much!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Today is Scott's birthday and I got him balloons last night and had Kayla give them to him this morning. She loves balloons so she wanted one too. Here was a conversation we had this morning:
Me: "Kayla do you like Daddy's Balloon?"
Kayla: "Yeah I want one."
Me: "You do?"
Kayla: "Yeah you go get one?"
Me: "I will get you one in two days for your birthday, ok?"
Kayla: "No, I want Elmo balloon!"
...then she had a meltdown in her room.

Happy New Year
We took Kayla downtown on New Year's Eve to Imagineve. They had a bunch of bounce houses to jump in. Some of Kayla's friends from daycare were there too. Her friend Shae took her in some of them and Kayla was all excited, but on a few she would get in them then want out! I don't think she was quite sure what to think but she had fun.
