"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Yay!

Finally some warm weather!!!  The kids were so excited to go outside and play this week.  We still don't have a yard but they made the best of it by playing on the sidewalk and in the driveway.  It was so nice later in the week we just had to get out and get reacquainted with the sun!  Oh how we have missed the sunshine!

Zoo with a Bestie!

I had the day off so I took the kids to the zoo.  I let Kayla bring a friend with.  She is missing her girl friends so I knew she would have fun spending the day with one of her best friends.  Rory and Kayla are only a week apart in age and have been going to the same daycare since they were both 12 weeks old.  They had so much fun together today and Grandma even got to come up for the day to surprise Kayla, and go with us to the zoo too!

Rylan Hearts His Blankie

Rylan cracks me up how he throws his blanket over his shoulder and walks around the house.  He takes that thing everywhere and has a hand on it at all times.  He puked on it the other night when we all had the flu and he was super sad when I had to take it away...especially when he didn't feel good and really wanted his blankie:-(   No worries, we are better and it is all clean now!

Misc Pics

Nelly is trying to blend in with all of the stuffed animals and dolls in Kayla's bed...but I'm pretty sure Kayla will notice her when she wakes up and kick her out.  She very particular where her dolls are placed at night and does not like cat hair on her blankets lol.  Luckily for Nelly KJ fell asleep before she put everyone in their "place" tonight.

Changes

Well, I survived my 1st week home with the kiddos!  I decided to put in my 2 week notice at work to be a stay at home mom and have an in home daycare.  This is something Scott and I have talked about doing for a long time but I wasn't able to actually do until we moved.  You have to be self employed for 2 years before you can count that income on your mortgage application.  So, as everything goes for us I was forced to be patient until we found a house to buy and actually got moved.  Now that we are settled in and have a house with a finished basement I decided it was time to let work know I would no longer be a corporate slave!  I have been there almost 10 years and was ready for something completely different.  I am burned out sitting behind a desk and excited to spend my days at home in my new house I love with my two little love bugs.  I only wanted to take in 2-3 kids.  Just enough to make some money and I wanted my kids to be around other kids so they don't get too spoiled thinking it's all about them!  I was lucky enough to find a nice family with two little boys and another one on the way.  The boys started this week and they are super cute.  Rylan is still adjusting to sharing his toys and his mommy but it will be good for both of them to learn to share.  Kayla already does well at being around other kids since she has been going to daycare up until now.  It's an adjustment for all of us but it is what's best for our family while the kids are still little.  It was really hard taking them away from their home away from home and we all miss Nina and the daycare kids SOO much!  I didn't cry about leaving work but I think we all cried when we picked the kids up for the last time.  That truly was like home to them.  Luckily we are good friends and now that we live in Norwalk we are close to them now.  So we are going to make sure the kids still get together to play.

The last month has been crazy getting used to a new town, house, not going to work everyday, the kids not going to daycare...but we are figuring out our new routine at home and adjusting as best we can!  I'm ready for things to settle down and find a new normal for us.  But things are finally falling into place after all these years and we are excited for the next chapter of our lives!
