"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Princesses!

Last night they had Family Night at one of the malls. You could go and meet the Princesses and do other activities for free. Kayla loves Snow White and Cinderella so she was super excited to go see them. She told her babysitter all day yesterday how she was going to go see Snow "Wipe" and Cinderella. When she saw them she was of course shy but it didn't take much to get her to stand by them. She was pretty excited. They would ask her her name and how old she was and she would tell them. (Quietly, but she did it.) I think she was in awe. She even gave two of them a hug.

Girls Night Out

This weekend I had a much needed girls night out with my friends Emily, Kara, Robin, and two of Emily's friends too. I feel like the only places I've been lately is work, home, and the grocery store! So it was nice to have a night out with the girls. We got a hotel room and left the kids with their dads and said see you in the morning. haha We had a good time despite the fact that it was freezing outside at the end of March!

TGIF...........for real!

Finally, it's Friday...and I don't have to work this weekend! I am finishing up my last 2 hours of overtime tonight at work. (I'm taking a break to blog...hehe) The good news is we should be done with OT for awhile. Woo Hoo! Keep your fingers crossed for me. I am almost done for the night...getting ready to head home. Scott picked up Kayla from daycare and brought home her friends Zach and Shae too. We are going to cook some pizza's and let them play for awhile. Never anytime to relax, but that's okay:-) She always asks when her friends can come play again. It's so cute. I love watching her play with her friends. Such the social butterfly.

Snack Time

Kayla is having an ice cream cone. Or as she calls it " ah crem". She sounds like she has an accent when she says it. :-)

I love how she is crossing her feet in this pic...so cute.

Kitchen Makeover

This past weekend Scott and I were busy working on our kitchen. We shipped Kayla off to Grandpa and Grandma's house so we could do some serious painting. The first picture is what our kitchen looked like when we first moved in. The only thing different was it was bright yellow and we painted it red. A few years ago we put in a new floor. A couple weekends ago my Dad came up and helped put in a new countertop which I love! It looked great but didn't really go well with our dark 70's style cupboards. So, instead of spending a ton of money on new cupboards we decided to paint them instead along with the walls, and also put new hardware up. Here is the final product. We still a few few details to finish up, but you get the idea.

Bambi

Grandma Connie loves the movie Bambi, so she had Great Grandma Smith make Kayla a Bambi blanket and pillow for her baby dolls. Here's some pics of her putting her "Baby Sugars" to bed with her new bedding. When I was little my friend Gena and I both had a Baby Shivers doll. They shiver when they are cold. Gena still had her doll and gave it to Kayla to have now. Kayla calls it baby sugars though, and when she shakes, she says "she's sugaring!" It's so cute. Great Grandma Smith also made her a cute Sesame Street blanket too. Nelly couldn't resist trying them out.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Well Kayla has yet another ear infection, actually a double ear infection. She started running a low fever Tuesday night. She is just getting over another cold so I had a feeling she was getting another ear infection. They don't seem to bother her because she says they don't hurt and she never messes with them. But she is also 2 and has more important things to worry about, like what Barney to watch. Scott took her to the Dr. yesterday to have her checked out and we decided to take her back in two weeks to have her ears looked at again. Each time they have tried a different medicine so hopefully this one will clear it up for good. If not, I will talk to her Dr about whether she needs to see an ENT Dr. It's just so strange because she never had an ear infection until this year. Her fever was much lower this time and didn't last as long. I am so ready for summer to get here and for some of these germs to go away. It's been a loooooong winter.

ORANGE CARE BEAR

We have a Care Bear book we read and everytime we do Kayla says she wants an orange Care Bear. I kept telling her to tell the Easter Bunny because I didn't know if I could find one anywhere. Care Bears and not easy to find nowadays and the new ones are not cute. So luckily good old Ebay came thru with an orange Care Bear. She wasn't supposed to get it until Easter but I feel bad she's been sick so she gets it now:-)

Future Picasso?

You be the judge...
Here is a picture Kayla "colored" on the computer. I let her color in the Paint program. She picks different colors and I hold the button down while she moves her finger over the laptop mouse. She thinks it's so fun. I thought I would share her masterpiece.

Superman

They had dressup day at daycare yesterday. When Scott went to pick up Kayla she was wearing a Superman costume. He took a picture of her on his phone to show me. And when I asked Kayla what she was wearing she said... Bat-Mam!

TGIF!!!

Finally it's Friday! (Not that it matters since I have to work this weekend) But for everyone else...Woo Hoo! Here's something else to make you smile. Grandma Connie mailed Kayla the new blue ray movie Bambi. Last night she was sitting with Daddy watching it and Thumper came on the TV and she said, "Awe look Daddy, he's so cute." She is such a little sweetheart. She was leaning over my shoulder the other night looking at a book and out of the blue just says, "I love you." So sweet:-)

Play Time

Kayla's friends Zach and Shae stopped over for a little bit the other night. Usually Kayla spends all day at their house so she was excited to show them all of her toys.

My favorite colors...

So I'm putting my makeup on this morning getting ready for work and I keep hearing Kayla say, these are my favorite colors. Little did I know she was taking makeup out of my bag and drawing all over her face and hair with eyeshadow!
