"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Merry Christmas

Mommy's little princess :-)

Kayla LOVES Barney.

Santa brought Kayla her very own Thomas the Train set.

Daddy helped Kayla open her My Little Pony, so now she thinks this is Daddy's Pony. She will bring it to him and say Daddy here's your pony.

Bears vs Vikings

Monday night Scott and some of his friends went up to Minneapolis for the Bears vs. Vikings game. The game was originally supposed to be at the Metrodome but since the roof collapsed from all the snow, it got moved to the TCF Bank Stadium (where the MN Gophers play). It took them 7 hours to get up there because of the snow. Game started at 7:30 and they didn't get back til about 5am. They were prepared for freezing weather but said it wasn't as cold as expected. They of course being guys, thought the whole experience was fun. Bears won 40 to 14 to clinch their division title. GO BEARS!

The lines to get into the game.

#52 Chad Greenway linebacker, former Iowa Hawkeye

#23 Devin Hester broke the NFL record at this game for kick/punt returns for touchdowns

Christmas Cookies

Grandma Smith and Kayla made Christmas cookies this weekend. I guess when you are with Grandma you can pretty much do whatever you want ;-) Kayla not only made quite the mess but also was having a great time indulging in some frosting. Everytime we would tell her to decorate a cookie she would instead pick it up and take a bite. I think it's safe to say she has a sweet tooth like the rest of us.

Santa Claus

Last weekend we took Kayla to see Santa. She sat on his lap but wouldn't talk to him. She wanted to ride the train but they were closing so she didn't get to. She was a good sport though and didn't cry.

Tis the Season...

I think the holidays remind you that people are either naughty or nice. Life is not always peaches and cream and there are some people I could do without talking to. I just want to thank my family and friends for being the "nice" people in my life. Remember to be grateful for the people in your life who you love and care about, because without them we would all lose are minds!

That being said...here are some pics of Miss KJ and Nelly helping me put up the Christmas Tree :-)

Nelly doesn't have any claws so she was super excited that she was able to climb a tree for once. :-)
