Uncle Nathan and Aunt Mandy (and Ty) spent the weekend at our house last weekend. We spent the day boating at Red Rock. Nathan's friend Ryan brought his waverunner to the lake too. That was a lot of fun; however Nathan goes a little too fast for comfort for me. He assured me I wouldn't fall off...and of course I did;-) Kayla was a good girl. She really likes the boat this year. We let her get in the lake for the first time and she loved it. I was holding onto her and she kept telling me she "wanted down mama". Silly girl. We had a nice day spending time with them. Thanks for coming up Uncle Nate and Aunt Mando, hope you had a good time!
Sunday afternoon we went to the zoo with Jerad, Jacque and Ellie. The girls had fun and of course we rode the choo choo before going home:-)
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Grandpa Geist
Grandpa Geist came to see us a few days ago. Kayla was being a little shy. (I love it when she is shy, because she is anything but when it is just me and daddy around!) She would sit on Grandpa's lap but wouldn't look at him at first (kinda like she did to the easter bunny). She warmed up though. Thanks for coming to see us!

Elmo
Kayla got a new Elmo, or as she calls him "Elmo Song". She loves watching Elmo sing Elmo's song on Youtube. She has a baby elmo she takes to daycare with her everyday. Sometimes she forgets him there so now she has a talking Elmo waiting at home for her. She loves Elmo:-)
Elmo wants a bite of cheese too!

The Fourth
This weekend was the GOODGUYS car show at the fair grounds. My dad brought his 59 Chevy Bel Air that he just finished restoring. It was fun and as always really hot. Kayla cooled off with some ice cream. She was even double-spooning it at times...she just couldn't get enough I guess!
Grandpa and Grandma Smith are heading back home today and Grandma Connie is on her way to come see us now!
We went to Prairie Meadows to watch fireworks. We just missed the horse races but Kayla still got to see the horsies. There were a ton of people out there and Kayla was loving running around with all the other kids. Luckily she took a late nap so she was able to stay awake for the fireworks. She liked them but was a little scared. She wanted someone to hold her the whole time.
